Apple Crumble tart

Ingredients
75g soft butter
50g soft brown sugar
100g plain flour/wholemeal flour combined
60g oats

1 bramley cooking apple
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
small pinch of nutmeg
a small squeeze of lemon juice, approx 1 teaspoon


Method
1 Preheat oven to 180°C/375°F/Gas5
2 Put both flours in a large bowl, rub in the soft butter until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.

3. Stir in the sugar and oats.
4 Press half the mixture into the base of a greased small baking tin.
5. Peel and core apples, then slice thinly, arrange the apple slices on top of the mixture in the tin.
6 Sqeeze a little lemon over the apple slices.
7 Sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg over the remaining crumble mixture, then sprinkle over the apple.
8 Bake in the pre heated oven for approx 20 minutes until golden.
Eat warm with cream, ice cream or cold.
