Apple & Blackberry Crumble
Ingredients
1 Cooking apple (Bramley)
25g Caster sugar
1-2 tablespoons Water
50g Blackberries
40g Oats
40g Wholemeal flour
40g Soft butter
40g Soft brown sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Method
1 Measure flour into a large bowl, add oats.
2 Cut butter into small pieces, rub into flour and oats using fingertips.
3 Stir in sugar and vanilla
4 Peel, core & slice apples
5 Put in pan with water & sugar cook on a medium heat until soft and fluffy, then stir in the blackberries.
6 Put the fruit mixture into a small ovenproof dish.
7 Sprinkle over then topping
8 Bake at 180oC/350oF/Gas 4 for approx 20 mins till golden.
Eat warm with cream, icecream or custard.
