Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients
50g wholemeal flour
50g soft butter
50g finely grated cheddar cheese
generous pinch of paprika or smoked paprika or English mustard powder


Method
1. Weight out flour carefully and put in a large bowl.
2. Cut up the butter an add to a bowl, shake the flour to cover with flour.
3. Rub in the butter using your finger tips.
4. Weigh out cheese and grate finely. Stir into the butter and flour mixture.
5. Add the paprika or mustard powder and stir in well.
6. Work the dough using your hands to make a smooth mixture.
7. Roll out onto a lightly floured surface to 3mm thick
8. Cut into rounds using a cutter.
9. Bake in a pre-heated oven on a lined baking tray at 200°C/400°F/Gas 6 for 5-8 minutes until golden.
10. Cool on a wire rack
